HelloFresh, an international meal kit company with offices in New York City and Germany, chose to relocate and expand its operations to Newark, NJ. After a nationwide search, the firm decided to lease a 217,000 square foot distribution space and an additional 20,000 square feet of office space in downtown Newark. The NJ Economic Development Authority estimates the project will yield a net benefit to the state of $4.1 million over 20 years.

Irena Hamkiv is a consulting manager with over 10 years of experience in developing complex financial models that enable the estimation of incentive values, as well as analyses of their public costs and benefits in the context of a wide variety of projects, including build‐to‐suit projects, multi‐phased mixed-use developments, data centers and other projects. She is a 2009 graduate (Phi Beta Kappa) with a joint degree in Economics and Political Science with High Honors from Rutgers College. Irena also holds a Professional Certificate in Real Estate and Finance from NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate.
